As part of the Staveley Annual Christmas events, the community has the opportunity to come along to the Lantern -Making Workshops held at the Speedwell Rooms, run by Staveley Town Council, where they can create their own choice of lantern and to join the lantern parade which accompanies the Christmas Lights Switch on, and the Christmas Market and Craft Fair.

 

 

The Lantern Workshop sessions are free to attend for Staveley Area Residents, materials are provided by Staveley Town Council. 

 

 

This year the Workshops are being held on 28th and 30th of October. 

The dates and times are are follows:

 

Monday 28th October

There is one morning session starting at 10am until 12.30pm

The afternoon session starts at 2.00pm and runs until 4.30pm

 

Wednesday 30th October

There is one morning session starting at 10am until 12.30pm 

The afternoon session starts at 2.00pm and runs until 4.30pm

These will take place at the Speedwell Rooms, Inkersall Road, Staveley.

How to book a place on the Lantern Workshops

  • All places must be Pre-booked, due to materials being provided and prepared. 
  • To book please email : events@staveleytowncouncil.gov.uk

or 

  • alternatively you can collect a booking form from the Foyer information Point beyond the main door at Staveley Hall, Complete the form and post this through the main letterbox and we will process this along with email bookings. 

 

  • The places are allocated on a first come first served basis. 

 

  • All children / Children Groups  must be accompanied by an adult
