Staveley Town Council provides a Community Grants Fund which is available for local community groups and organisations to apply for. Currently the maximum sum per application is £200. Larger applications will be considered under the Service Level Agreement scheme.
Groups and organisations are expected to be properly constituted and to have a dedicated bank account requiring two signatories, as a minimum, to operate it. We are sorry but money cannot be given to individuals.
Grant applications are assessed quarterly so its important that you plan ahead to get your application submitted on time to be of use to your project. The Council does not accept retrospective applications or for projects which have already commenced.
Terms and conditions apply to applications, please read the documents below listed prior to application.
Should you have any further queries or require additional assistance regarding your potential application, please contact info@staveleytowncouncil.gov.uk
Small Grants – Project and Equipment Funding – up to £200 (exceptionally up to £1000)
For one-off purchases, projects, events, activities, equipment, improvements, or start-up initiatives that benefit the community.
If you are unsure if this is the right grant for your project. Please contact info@staveleytowncouncil.gov.uk.
Service Level Agreement (SLA) Grants
For organisations that provide an ongoing service which helps the Town Council meet identified community needs throughout the year. These are grants whish are awarded on an annual basis and are considered as part of the council’s budget setting process. Applications should be submitted by 1st October each year.
Is an SLA application right for your organisation?
An SLA application is only suitable if:
✅ You provide an ongoing service to Staveley residents
✅ The service operates throughout the year
✅ You are seeking funding to help deliver that service
✅ You can demonstrate outcomes and community impact
Before submitting an SLA application, organisations must contact the Town Clerk for an initial discussion. Applications submitted without a prior discussion may be rejected.
Please ensure you have fully read the Community Grants Policy linked below before submitting either application.
Payment of successful grants will occur within a week of the decision being made – please ensure that the appropriate bank details have been submitted with your application.
